What a day!

The last 24 hours have been pretty magical for me, and it definitely has nothing to do with Kiefer Sutherland.

Yesterday my guest strip got posted on Three Panel Opera, and I’ll admit that was *pretty* cool for me. I get all tingly when people (who don’t actually know me) see my work. Affirmation – affirmed.

Last night we kicked out the first episode of JRD’s new zombie serial, Ruby Departed, and that went swimmingly as well. We just got a new mic to record on recently, and we’ve been experimenting with our sound set-up over the last few podcasts. I actually had to record in a separate room. I felt like such a diva. 🙂 This serial is not like the others in that it takes the form of a journal entry for each episode. To add to that feeling, JRD thought it would be neat to have the text version written out in a notebook and scanned. It took longer than I thought to write it out, and I hope everyone can read my handwriting. By the end of it, I had a wicked cramp in my hand/arm. Silver lining – I figure it will be good practice for taking notes when I go back to school.

So, that’s all well and good, but that only covers last night. I was informed this morning by a certain very-excited husband of mine that the zombie serial had been mentioned on the front page of Evil Avatar today. For those of you who may not know (are there any of you out there?), Evil Avatar is a gaming news website. You may wonder why a gaming site would mention our not-a-game podcast, but the truth is – people love zombies, and thus, love our zombie stories enough to find an excuse to post them on a game news site. Yay! We feel loved.

Feel free to click on the image for a link to Evil Avatar and come revel in our glory.
